Job Description/Specification:
AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented GSAS Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations in Doha, Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor coordination who are passionate about improving operational efficiency, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards.
The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, analyze supply chain performance, support cost optimization initiatives, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
About This Role
As a GSAS (Global Supply & Acquisition Services) Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting procurement operations, maintaining supplier relationships, and improving supply chain performance. You will manage purchasing activities, monitor procurement compliance, prepare performance reports, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency while maintaining quality and cost control.
This position requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with hands-on experience using ERP and procurement management systems.
Key Responsibilities
📦 Procurement & Supply Chain
✅ Manage the complete procurement cycle, including purchase requisitions, supplier selection, and purchase orders.
✅ Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
✅ Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual requirements.
🤝 Vendor Management
✅ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
✅ Monitor supplier performance and support vendor evaluations.
✅ Resolve procurement issues and supply chain discrepancies efficiently.
📊 Data Analysis & Reporting
✅ Analyze procurement and supply chain performance metrics.
✅ Monitor spending patterns, supplier performance, and cost trends.
✅ Prepare reports and presentations for management and key stakeholders.
⚙️ Process Improvement
✅ Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
✅ Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.
✅ Recommend best practices for supply chain optimization.
📋 Documentation & Compliance
✅ Maintain accurate procurement records and transaction documentation.
✅ Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal procedures.
✅ Support audit requirements by maintaining complete procurement records.
👥 Cross-Functional Collaboration
✅ Work closely with finance, operations, engineering, and project teams.
✅ Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely project support.
✅ Facilitate communication between internal departments and external partners.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
💼 Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, purchasing, or a related field.
- Experience working in engineering, infrastructure, construction, or multinational organizations is an advantage.
- Experience supporting procurement operations in large-scale projects is preferred.
