Job Description/Specification:
A leading automotive organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee revenue accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives across multiple business units. This senior finance role is ideal for qualified accounting professionals with extensive experience in revenue recognition, IFRS compliance, financial planning, and business partnering.
The successful candidate will collaborate with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost accounting, strengthen financial controls, support digital transformation initiatives, and provide strategic financial insights that drive business performance.
About This Role
As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for establishing revenue accounting policies, improving financial processes, managing budgeting activities, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and supporting business units with accounting guidance for new products, pricing models, and complex commercial transactions.
You will also play a key role in financial planning, inventory accounting, audit coordination, and continuous process optimization while mentoring finance team members.
Key Responsibilities
📊 Revenue Accounting & Financial Reporting
✅ Oversee revenue recognition and cost accounting in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
✅ Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue, cost of sales, and gross profit.
✅ Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating manuals.
💼 Financial Planning & Budgeting
✅ Lead budgeting and business planning activities across multiple business units.
✅ Prepare revenue forecasts, cost budgets, and financial performance reports.
✅ Support feasibility studies, business cases, and project financial evaluations.
📈 Business Analysis & Performance
✅ Analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports for senior management.
✅ Monitor key financial indicators and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
✅ Support pricing decisions and revenue optimization initiatives.
⚙️ Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
✅ Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and digital solutions.
✅ Implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls.
✅ Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the revenue accounting function.
🤝 Business Partnering
✅ Collaborate with business units to provide accounting guidance for new products and commercial initiatives.
✅ Support stakeholders in understanding financial impacts of operational decisions.
✅ Establish and maintain service level agreements with internal departments.
📋 Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
✅ Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
✅ Coordinate internal, external, statutory, tax, and regulatory audits.
✅ Monitor financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
✅ Oversee inventory valuation, impairment assessments, and year-end physical inventory counts.
👥 Leadership & Team Development
✅ Mentor and develop finance team members.
✅ Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development.
✅ Support succession planning within the finance function.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
📜 Professional Qualifications
One of the following professional accounting qualifications is required:
- ✅ Chartered Accountant (CA)
- ✅ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- ✅ Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
💼 Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong experience in revenue accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Experience working in large corporate or multi-business environments is highly preferred.
