Job Description/Specification:
Qatar Airways is seeking a qualified Technical Training Instructor to join its Technical Training Department in Doha. This role is ideal for aviation maintenance professionals with strong technical expertise and a passion for developing the next generation of aircraft maintenance personnel.
The successful candidate will design and deliver technical training programs, develop course materials, assess trainee performance, and ensure all training activities comply with QCAR Part 66, Part 145, and applicable aviation regulatory standards.
About This Role
As a Technical Training Instructor, you will play a key role in maintaining high technical competency across engineering teams by delivering structured classroom training, developing examination materials, and evaluating trainee performance.
You will also update training content in line with the latest aviation regulations and company procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Technical Training Department.
Key Responsibilities
✈️ Training Delivery
✅ Design, develop, and deliver technical training courses for engineering personnel.
✅ Conduct classroom training sessions for QCAR Part 66 Basic Modules and Part 145 courses.
✅ Facilitate learning using approved instructional methods and training materials.
📚 Course Development
✅ Develop, review, and update training manuals, presentations, and learning materials.
✅ Ensure all training content reflects the latest regulatory requirements and company procedures.
✅ Improve training programs based on operational and regulatory changes.
📝 Assessment & Examination
✅ Develop and maintain examination question banks.
✅ Conduct examinations as an approved examiner or invigilator.
✅ Assess trainee performance and evaluate learning outcomes.
✅ Recommend additional training where competency gaps are identified.
📊 Training Administration
✅ Maintain accurate training records within the Training Management System.
✅ Process training certificates and documentation accurately.
✅ Ensure instructor and examiner qualifications remain current.
🔍 Continuous Improvement
✅ Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness.
✅ Recommend enhancements to training methodologies and course content.
✅ Support departmental initiatives to maintain high training standards.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- High School Certificate, Vocational Qualification, or Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
OR
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
💼 Experience
- Experience delivering technical or aviation maintenance training.
- Previous experience within aircraft maintenance, aviation engineering, or technical training environments.
- Experience developing technical training materials is preferred.
📜 Mandatory Certifications
- Train the Trainer Certification.
- Successfully completed EASA/QCAR Part 66 Module 9.
- Successfully completed EASA/QCAR Part 66 Module 10.
