Specialist, Population Health Research - IPH

Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar (WCM-Q) is seeking a Specialist, Population Health Research to support and manage population health research projects that contribute to improving healthcare outcomes and public health initiatives. This role is ideal for experienced researchers with a medical or public health background who are passionate about research, data analysis, and evidence-based healthcare.

The successful candidate will oversee research projects from planning through completion, collaborate with leading healthcare institutions, and contribute to high-quality scientific publications and research outputs.

About This Role

As a Specialist, Population Health Research, you will coordinate all stages of research projects, including study design, participant recruitment, data collection, statistical analysis, reporting, and publication. You will work closely with multidisciplinary research teams and key healthcare stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

🔬 Research Project Management

✅ Manage population health research projects from planning through successful completion.

✅ Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and research deliverables.

✅ Support participant recruitment, training, and orientation activities for research studies.

📊 Data Analysis & Scientific Research

✅ Design and conduct population health research using appropriate research methodologies.

✅ Analyze, interpret, and validate research data.

✅ Prepare research findings, reports, and scientific documentation.

📝 Scientific Writing & Publications

✅ Contribute to academic publications, peer-reviewed journals, and research reports.

✅ Support the development of newsletters, research summaries, and educational content.

✅ Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders when required.

🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration

✅ Collaborate with research teams, healthcare institutions, and academic partners.

✅ Coordinate with Hamad Medical Corporation, Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation, Institutional Review Boards (IRB), and other stakeholders.

✅ Communicate project updates and escalate issues when necessary.

🎓 Research Support & Education

✅ Support public health and medical education initiatives.

✅ Provide guidance and mentorship to students and junior researchers.

✅ Assist with additional research and administrative activities as required.

Minimum Requirements

🎓 Education

• Medical Degree (MBBS or MD).

AND

• Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH)

OR

• PhD in Health Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline.

💼 Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of research experience in Qatar or a comparable healthcare environment.
• Experience managing research projects from initiation to completion.
• Proven experience in scientific and medical writing for peer-reviewed journals and research publications.
