Westin Doha is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's IT infrastructure. This opportunity is ideal for IT professionals with experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, networks, and business applications while delivering excellent user support in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT systems, supporting end users, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the efficient operation of technology services across the hotel.

About This Role

As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide first-line technical support for hotel systems, applications, and end users. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, supporting network and communication systems, and assisting with system maintenance and upgrades.

Working closely with various hotel departments, you will help ensure business continuity by maintaining reliable IT services and recommending improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

💻 Technical Support

✅ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues.

✅ Provide technical assistance and guidance to hotel employees.

✅ Support business applications and ensure smooth daily operations.

🖥️ System Administration

✅ Manage user accounts, system access, and application support.

✅ Perform system maintenance, software updates, and routine monitoring.

✅ Maintain accurate records of technical issues, installations, and resolutions.

🌐 Network & Infrastructure Support

✅ Support network connectivity, telecommunications, and client/server environments.

✅ Assist with the planning and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

✅ Monitor system performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

📊 Process Improvement

✅ Analyze recurring technical issues and recommend long-term solutions.

✅ Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.

✅ Assist with IT documentation, reporting, and compliance with company procedures.

🤝 User Training & Collaboration

✅ Train employees on the effective use of IT systems and software.

✅ Work closely with internal departments to resolve technical requirements.

✅ Support the IT team in delivering reliable technology services across the hotel.

Minimum Requirements

🎓 Education

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

💼 Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting business applications, user accounts, and IT infrastructure.
