Job Description/Specification:
An established MEP contractor in Qatar is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. This senior-level role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience managing complex construction projects while ensuring compliance with local regulations, project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will oversee the complete project lifecycle, from planning and procurement to commissioning and final handover, while leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
About This Role
As an MEP Project Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering major commercial, industrial, infrastructure, utility, and high-rise construction projects across Qatar. You will be responsible for project planning, engineering coordination, risk management, resource allocation, authority approvals, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This role is best suited for experienced engineering professionals with strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of Qatar's construction regulations and MEP standards.
Key Responsibilities
🏗️ Project Management
✅ Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale MEP projects.
✅ Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and overall project performance.
✅ Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
👥 Team Leadership
✅ Lead project engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
✅ Conduct project review meetings and monitor overall project progress.
✅ Resolve technical, commercial, and operational challenges efficiently.
🤝 Client & Authority Coordination
✅ Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
✅ Ensure timely approvals from Kahramaa, QCDD, and other relevant authorities.
✅ Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and final project approvals.
📋 Compliance & Quality
✅ Ensure compliance with Kahramaa regulations, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), QCDD requirements, and international engineering standards.
✅ Monitor project quality, safety, and contractual compliance throughout execution.
Minimum Requirements
🎓 Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
💼 Experience
- Minimum 15 years of MEP construction experience.
- At least 7 years in a Project Manager or senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale MEP projects in Qatar.
- Mandatory experience working on Kahramaa projects and approval procedures.
