Join a leading maritime organization in Qatar as a Manager – Vessel Performance & Systems. This senior technical role is ideal for experienced marine engineering professionals who are passionate about improving fleet performance, maintenance strategies, and digital ship management systems. You will play a key role in maximizing vessel reliability, optimizing maintenance programs, and driving operational excellence across the fleet.
✅ Monitor vessel performance, downtime, technical KPIs, and maintenance activities to improve fleet efficiency.
✅ Analyze equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis to reduce recurring technical issues.
✅ Manage and optimize the Shipnet Planned Maintenance System (PMS) to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
✅ Lead maintenance optimization initiatives, including the implementation of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
✅ Oversee maintenance schedules, vessel defects, certifications, and planned maintenance compliance.
✅ Coordinate PMS setup and implementation for newly acquired vessels.
✅ Prepare fleet performance reports, technical dashboards, and management analytics.
✅ Optimize spare parts inventory and support technical procurement activities.
✅ Lead Offshore Assurance Officer (OAO) inspections and ensure timely corrective actions.
✅ Collaborate with technical, marine, procurement, IT, and operations teams to improve fleet performance and support digital transformation initiatives.
🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
⚓ Marine Engineer Class II Certificate of Competency (Mandatory).
💼 Minimum 8–10 years of sailing experience across offshore and deep-sea vessels.
🛠️ Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent is highly preferred.
📊 Strong knowledge of Shipnet PMS, Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), maintenance planning, vessel machinery, technical procurement, fleet KPI reporting, and database management.
🌍 GCC or Middle East maritime experience is an advantage.
🗣️ Excellent English communication skills. Arabic is an added advantage.
