Job Description/Specification:


A leading company in Doha is seeking an experienced Customs & Shipping Clearance Officer to manage import and export clearance, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliance with Qatar Customs regulations. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in customs documentation, freight forwarding, and logistics operations who can ensure timely cargo movement while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Process import and export customs clearance documentation accurately and on time.
✅ Coordinate with Qatar Customs, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers.
✅ Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
✅ Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
✅ Ensure compliance with Qatar Customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade requirements.
✅ Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, and documentation discrepancies.
✅ Maintain accurate customs records and logistics documentation.
✅ Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure efficient cargo movement.
✅ Monitor shipment schedules and provide regular status updates.
✅ Support continuous improvement of shipping and logistics processes.

Requirements

🎓 Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field is preferred.

💼 Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs clearance, shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics operations in Qatar.
  • Experience handling import/export documentation and customs procedures is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of Qatar Customs regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Experience preparing customs and shipping documentation.
