Job Description/Specification:
We are seeking an experienced Chartering Specialist to manage freight and vessel chartering activities, negotiate shipping contracts, and support the growth of maritime logistics operations. The role requires strong commercial awareness, market knowledge, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Negotiate and execute freight and vessel chartering agreements
✅ Manage shipping requirements and coordinate with commercial and planning teams
✅ Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, brokers, and external clients
✅ Analyze freight market trends and identify commercial opportunities
✅ Evaluate operational and contractual risks while supporting business decisions
✅ Ensure efficient execution of shipping operations and contract compliance
Requirements
💼 Relevant experience, including in chartering within the energy, shipping, or maritime sector
🛠️ Strong knowledge of freight markets, shipping contracts, and chartering operations
🛠️ Excellent negotiation, commercial analysis, and risk management skills
🛠️ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and make decisions in fast-paced environments
🌍 Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
