Job Description/Specification:
A leading industrial operations team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and RO desalination plant equipment, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
✅ Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, valves, compressors, and gearboxes
✅ Maintain RO plant systems including high-pressure pumps, membranes, filters, and dosing systems
✅ Carry out alignment, lubrication, and condition monitoring activities
✅ Support plant commissioning, shutdowns, and start-up operations
✅ Respond to emergency breakdowns and operational call-outs
✅ Assist in root-cause analysis of equipment failures
✅ Complete maintenance records and update CMMS/work orders
✅ Follow HSE procedures and permit-to-work systems
Requirements
🎓 Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance
💼 Experience in water treatment, desalination, power plants, oil & gas, or industrial facilities
⚙️ Experience with RO desalination systems preferred
📐 Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals
🧰 Familiarity with CMMS and industrial maintenance practices
🌍 English communication skills preferred
📍 Valid Qatar ID (QID) preferred / immediate joiners preferred
