A leading retail organization is seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive sales, profitability, and inventory performance across a designated product category. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, pricing, merchandising, and category growth.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Develop and implement category strategies to maximize sales and profitability
✅ Lead and manage buyers while driving category performance against business targets
✅ Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements to improve margins
✅ Manage product selection, inventory levels, forecasting, and stock turnover
✅ Analyze customer trends, market insights, and category performance to identify growth opportunities
✅ Collaborate with retail and marketing teams to optimize product visibility and promotions
✅ Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and inventory productivity
Requirements
🎓 Degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or a related field
💼 experience in category management, procurement, buying, or retail merchandising
🛠️ Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, inventory management, forecasting, pricing strategies, and commercial analysis
🌍 Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in travel retail, branded products, or large-scale retail environments will be an advantage.
