Job Description/Specification:
A major maritime and industrial operation is seeking an experienced Port Operations Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and compliant management of port activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational performance, regulatory compliance, asset integrity, stakeholder engagement, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and oversee all port operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
✅ Drive operational strategy, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
✅ Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations and industry standards
✅ Manage port infrastructure, logistics, and operational resources to optimize performance
✅ Build strong relationships with government authorities, shipping companies, and key stakeholders
✅ Support financial performance, asset reliability, and long-term operational sustainability
Requirements
🎓 Degree in Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
💼 Experience in port or maritime operations, including at least 5 years in a senior management position
🛠️ Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, international conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL, ILO), and port operations management
🌍 Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
Experience within the Oil & Gas or large-scale industrial maritime sector will be highly advantageous.
